What is Ledge Youth?
'Better we raise our skills than lower
the climb.'
Royal Robbins
We provide support for young people as they rise to the challenges they face. Equipping, helping them find new skills, growing self awareness and self regard. Every level of support aim to meet where they are at.
Where Next?
Coaching ,Therapy and Mindfulness are well established resources for adults - a chance for them to take stock and get help with the challenges they face.
Young people put in a hard shift moving from childhood into adulthood. There are very few points in our lives where we face so many challenges and transitions together. The idea that these interventions and more might be of help to young people is a no brainer. That is what we offer.
Why come to us?
Quite simply - because we're not the parents, we're not the teacher, we are not an authority figure. We can come without an agenda. We are able to occupy that space alongside a young person - to really listen without prejudice - and crucially help that young person make sense of all they are experiencing. We hold a unique, transformational space for them to do their best thinking, we help them flow from there into their best decision making.

Lynn Mackenzie
I am a qualified teacher, who has taught in a variety of setting in both Scotland & Australia.
Having started my career in the classroom I quickly became aware that many young people found that environment challenging. This led me to the fields of outdoor education, community youth work and a move away from teaching core subjects. to focus on personal develop and health & wellbeing.
